16th Annual Drive-Thru Nativity

Kick off this Christmas season with Concordia's Drive-Thru Nativity!
Dec. 7 & 8 from 5-9pm * Free admission

The story of Christmas comes to life through this amazing outdoor production, complete with live animals and over 60 actors! See the true story of Christmas unfold from the comfort of your vehicle. Although we are sharing the same wonderful story of the birth of our Savior, the experience will be brand new! This is a Christmas event you don't want to miss!

Check out these tips before you head over to the
Drive-Thru Nativity! We will see you this weekend!

#1. Download the free Concordia app! The soundtrack will be available on the app so you can listen on your phone. Visit www.Concordia.app to download before you arrive! If you don’t follow any other tip, this is the most important one!

#2. Come early! The crowds are always big, and we expect the same this year. Don't wait until the last minute. The event starts at 5pm and the entrance to Concordia will close at 9pm. Sunday is usually more crowded than Saturday.

#3. ONE ENTRANCE ONLY: The only entrance onto campus this year is off the access road of 1604. Coming from the west?  You will need to exit BLANCO (not HUEBNER) and do the turnaround at BLANCO to get in line for the Drive-Thru Nativity. You will NOT be able to exit Huebner to take the turnaround for the access road.

#4. Expect a bit of a wait - and lots of fun - while you're in line! We have some special surprises planned for before you even enter our Drive-Thru Nativity. We’ll have live Christmas music for you to enjoy, and, of course, Christmas cookies. Enjoy the music, snack on the cookies, and get into the Christmas spirit!

#5. We will provide the soundtrack for the Drive-Thru Nativity on a CD for you to use if needed (but we hope you'll use the app!). Please test your vehicle CD player (ahead of time).  If you don't have a CD player, we will have one available for you to borrow.

#6. Listen to the live band on your radio! We have a low power radio station that will be broadcasting on 103.9 FM.

#7. Know how to shut off your headlights. We know this sounds easy, but with newer cars, it can be a bit more complicated than just pushing a switch. Your owner's manual will have instructions.

#8. Make sure everyone uses the restroom before you leave your house. We will have restrooms available for emergencies, but it is a hassle to pull out of the line.

#9. Enjoy the Drive-Thru Nativity with friends. Invite your friends and family BEFORE you get here. (We will NOT have a place for you to all climb into one car together once you pull onto campus.)

#10. Be sure to enter the drawing! You have a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card just in time for Christmas. Be sure to fill out the white card you'll get while waiting in line and then drop it off at one of the tables in our parking lot once you fill it out. The winner will be notified next week!
