The Marriage Project

Our prayer is that this marriage ministry will be a blessing to Concordia and to our community! At the heart of this ministry are couples in marriage small groups that gather to learn, grow, and strengthen their marriages.

June 2019 Marriage Study

We hope you will plan to be part of a June 2019 Marriage small group where the study will be "Love Does.

This 5-week study was written by New York Times bestselling author Bob Goff.  You will discover the paradigm shifts, musings, and stories from one of the world’s most delightfully engaging and winsome people. What fuels his impact? Love. But it’s not the kind of love that stops at thoughts and feelings. Bob’s love takes action, just like Jesus did. Bob believes Love Does. Light and fun, unique and profound, the lessons drawn from Bob’s life and attitude just might inspire you to be secretly incredible, too.

Couples who are already in a marriage small group will start this study on their regular meeting day.  Couples who are in marriage small groups that meet at Concordia on Sundays at 9:30am will begin on June 2nd.

 Schedule for Sundays at 9:30am

The Marriage Project FAQ:

WHO can participate?
ALL married couples (members and non-members)

WHY should you participate?
No matter how long (or short) you have been married, you will receive tools and information to help make your marriage better.

WHERE will the materials come from?
Concordia has established a relationship with Study Gateway as the platform for the video teaching you will use. Each couple in the group will receive an invitation to join Study Gateway (free of charge). You’ll be amazed at how many different studies are available!

WHAT will be happening?
At the heart of this new ministry is for groups of people to all be working together to learn, grow and strengthen their marriages.

Each group decides what day and time works best for them.

HOW long will each meeting be?
Most groups will meet for 1 to 1 ½ hours each week.

Most groups meet at the group leaders’ or members' home, and some groups meet on Sundays at Concordia.
