CUB - Church Under the Bridge

Church Under the Bridge is an amazing ministry serving the homeless people in our community. The love of Jesus is seen in the way they bring hope and encouragement to people by providing meals, preaching and teaching the Word of God, baptism, music, art, and free clothing. It is a blessing for Concordia to able to partner with this ministry and serve every month! 

The next opportunity to serve at CUB is on Thursday, December 5. This is a great opportunity for anyone with children eight years or older to help serve food to families in our community. We need a group of about 5 for cooking/ meal prep. We need a group of about  20 to help serve dinner from 6:00 to 8:30pm. Sign up below.

Taking It To The Streets

Taking It To The Streets is much like an extension of Church Under The Bridge (and held at the same location). Volunteers serving in this ministry come together from across the city to assist our homeless population in several ways. The evening consists of a meal, fellowship, Bible study, and free clothing distribution.

Approximately 150 people are served each week through this special ministry, and Concordia is humbled to be able to offer an opportunity for our members to take part in helping those in need on the second Saturday of each month.

Our next opportunity to participate with Taking It To The Streets is Saturday, Dec. 14. This is a great way to love, serve, and shine for the entire family - children of all ages are welcome.

Pastor Dave would like to express his sincere appreciation for the very generous donations that were made to the food pantry!  His heart was filled with gratitude knowing that food would be available for the community.
