Celebrating 75 Years
This fall, Concordia Lutheran Church will joyfully celebrate 75 years of ministry in the San Antonio community. Since its beginning, God has faithfully guided Concordia through generations of worship, service, and outreach—sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with countless families, children, and neighbors. As we reflect on the blessings of the past, we give thanks for the members, volunteers, pastors, staff, and ministry partners who have helped build a legacy of faith.
We also look ahead with excitement, trusting God to continue working through Concordia as we make disciples, serve others, and share His love for generations to come. Join us this fall as we celebrate God’s faithfulness and the incredible story
He continues to write through Concordia.
Be A Part of the Celebration!
As part of our 75th Anniversary celebration, we are creating a special Concordia Lutheran Church coffee table book, and we would love for you to be a part of it! This commemorative book will include favorite recipes from our church family—recipes that have been shared at gatherings, passed down through generations, and enjoyed around countless tables. Whether it’s a cherished family dish, a beloved holiday treat, or a recipe that reminds you of fellowship and community, we invite you to submit your favorite recipe for inclusion in this keepsake book. Help us celebrate Concordia's 75th Anniversary by sharing your creativity! We invite children, youth, and adults to submit a drawing for possible inclusion in our commemorative anniversary book. Artwork may feature the church, a favorite ministry or event, a meaningful Bible verse, or another special memory connected to Concordia. Selected drawings will help tell the story of God's faithfulness through the eyes of our congregation.
Submission guidelines include:
- Original artwork only; please do not submit copyrighted images or traced artwork.
- Use an 8.5" x 11" sheet of white paper (portrait or landscape orientation).
- Artwork may be created with crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint, or digital illustration.
- Include the artist's name and age (age if under 18) on the back of the submission.
- Keep important artwork and text at least ½ inch from the edge of the page.
- Scripture references may be included; please cite the Bible verse reference.
- Submissions may be featured in the anniversary book, on the church website, social media, or in anniversary displays.
- Not all submissions are guaranteed publication due to space limitations.
- By submitting artwork, participants grant Concordia Lutheran Church permission to reproduce and publish the artwork for anniversary-related purposes.
All items due by Sunday, August 16. Please turn in at the church office during the week or at the welcome kiosks on Sunday mornings.
What message would you like to leave for the future? We are inviting members of our Concordia family to contribute to our Time Capsule that will be opened at the 100th Anniversary celebration in 2051. You can share a letter, photo, prayer, drawing, memory, or reflection about what Concordia means to you. Think about what would be fun for future members to open! To help preserve and organize all contributions, please place your items in a standard manilla envelope
(9" x 12" or smaller) and avoid bulky materials.

As part of Concordia Lutheran Church's 75th Anniversary Celebration, we invite you to join us for a special anniversary dinner as we gather in fellowship and thanksgiving on Friday, October 9. This memorable evening will feature a delicious meal, opportunities to reconnect with friends old and new, and stories celebrating God's faithfulness throughout Concordia's 75-year history. Whether you have been part of our congregation for decades or have recently joined our church family, we hope you will be part of this meaningful celebration.
