This page is meant to give you (or someone you love) a place to start. Of course, you can always reach out to a member of the pastoral staff here at Concordia. We are here to listen, to counsel, to pray, and to bring comfort through God’s Word and promises.
But we also recognize that some circumstances and diagnoses require counseling and treatment beyond our training and ability.
Often, parishioners ask for recommendations for “Christian counselors” or “faith-based” centers, out-patient programs, etc. We certainly understand that desire, and when possible, try to connect people with faith-based resources. Yet, it’s worth stating: you do not need to limit yourself to explicitly Christian providers in order to receive good, helpful, and compassionate care.
God works through a variety of counselors, doctors, and treatments to bring healing. You are free to seek counseling, medication, or other forms of treatment, even when they are not faith-based, without fear that you are compromising your faith.

Join us for our sermon series
“Peace of Mind” from
Sunday, September 7 through
Sunday, October 5.
Join us in person or online Sunday mornings at 8, 9:30, & 11am.
What do we do when our thoughts seem louder than our faith? When anxiety grips us, depression clouds our joy, burnout drains our strength, or our identity feels lost … where do we turn? Peace of Mind: God’s Presence in Our Struggles is a five-week journey through the very real battles in our minds and hearts. Grounded in 2 Corinthians 10:5, this series will show how to take every thought captive because Christ has already taken our sin, shame, and fears to the cross.
We’ll follow a Gospel-shaped path of grace, not self-help. Practices rooted in what Jesus has done, given through His Word, Spirit, and sacraments:
Spot the Lie - Expose the enemy’s deception. Replace it with God’s unchanging truth.
See Through the Cross - View pain through the lens of Jesus’ love and resurrection victory.
Choose Gratitude - Resist burnout by living in the abundance of God’s provision.
Walk a New Path - Live out your baptismal identity in a world that tries to define you.
Return to Grace - Keep coming back to the God who renews you daily. Rinse and repeat.
You are not alone. You are not stuck. You are not beyond the reach of God’s healing love.
In Jesus, peace is not something you earn. It’s something you receive.
